NP's comprehensive FAQ (the thread to end all dumb threads)

my big black friend who was one of the reason i got locks started his with twists.
he doesnt twist his roots and his dreads are all 'uniform', meaning they are all about the same length and width.
so twisting the roots isnt necessary, unless u want to have square sections on your head.
and a lot of the black kids at my school who are starting dreads start with twists.
i guess its really popular for black people hair.
i think it looks like lil roaches on their heads tho.

 

I don't think I have a single dread the same size.

I got bored and took about 5 out. there was scummy residue in every single one, and the only thing I have ever used is bronner and ACV.

 

I can't stand that stuff for my hair.

Yeah. I feel like a waxhead, I listened to the people who told me to use bronners and noticed immediately that it felt like it left residue... but continued to use it because all these people said it was the best.
