No. It made them much more sensitive though.

I got one of my nipples peirced the worst part for me was the soreness after words. I'm a guy but the pain only last for a brief second

 

I'm a guy too. And mine weren't that bad, except they got caught on shirts when I would change. I took them out.

Pain tolerance is different in everyone. Some people squeek at a mosquito bite.. I rub them off and pour vinegar over them. I like the pain. I'll burn a paper clip end glowing red just to torture insect bites.

When I smashed my thumb once I had to heat up that paperclip and push it into my nail 2 times to melt the nail and get the blood out. That release of tension and throb was an amazing feeling.

it hurt intensely for about a minute after I put the needles in then went to a dull "pressure" feeling for a couple days afterwards. it's hard to accurately describe. it's like a really really hard "pinch". i didn't numb my nipples first. they bled a lot more than they hurt.
