Okay, I thought about this last night whilst I was drifting to sleep. Here's the rules: The game starts off with a random word, then the following poster has to use that word as a subject to a simile or a metaphor. Example: The word is TREE. The tree was as rigid as a broomstick. (simile) The tree is a rigid broomstick. (metaphor) either/or, The broomstick was as rigid as a tree. (simile) The broomstick is a rigid tree. (metaphor) Obviously they don't have to be that simple, and can be as elaborate as you like. It may sound confusing, but it's really not. ______________________________________________ The word is SKY. The sky radiates from the crook of my window; beaming across my room like the spotlight of a distant helicopter reassuring me of their existence. Next word = Field
The field swaggers its wheat back and forth in the wind like an unusually dextrous heading home from a country pub. ================================= Next: concrete
the concrete sails through the air, into the distance, and knocks out a riot pig like a glorious revolutionary living sculpture symbolising hope that our freedom may be won ! next word cloud
Like the delicate and fragile descent of a silk handkerchief, dropped from the last strand of a velvet cloud. Next: Dog
The word is CIGAR. Life is like a cigar, a tightly rolled bundle of dried and fermented tobacco, one end of which is ignited so that its smoke may be drawn into the smoker's mouth through the other end. Next word=Pneumatic drill, or jackhammer for the one word purists.
That's not so much a simile as a description of what you do with a cigar. JUST LIKE A PNEUMATIC DRILL OR JACKHAMMER. The jackhammer pounded against the bare, unyielding ground like a frustrated teenage self-abuser staring frenziedly at a Sears catalogue while keeping an anxious eye on his bedroom door. The word is: bacon.
The word is EEL. The eel slithered towards it's target which it longed to both work itself inside of and live there for ever(safe, warm and moist), and to consoume, overtaken by passion, hunger and curiousity, driven entirely by the instinct which was telling it to swim onwards through the sea of fluids, through the greasy discharges of that nice piece of bacon. It was salty too... Next word=Television.
The telivision was dumped like an ousted politician at an election. The computer does the same job and more next word cocaine
erm missed one out, forgot to put in another word and then just went for a cheap laugh like a tart in picture postcard hmmmph ok so start from the word cocaine
The cocaine was amusing for a short while, but overall it was something that had since become long overgrown, a bit like a Take That comeback. Next word: "schaddenfreude".
