I'm currently on a Yamaha Roadstar 1602cc's (98 C.I.). Just got rid of my old Ironhead Harley Sportster. Anybody else out here ride? Maybe we could get together and ride to an event or some shit. There's only 2 types of bikes and bikers. Good ole biguns and big ole gooduns. Discuss amongst yourselves. Boogity-boogity
2 wheels only way to go, daddio! Kind Daddy bought all (er, well, most... I think) of the parts to a '78 Ducati 900; said if I could put it together it's mine. Though this damn life is getting in the way. Plus I hardly know what I'm doing. But should she roar once more, I'll see ya on the road! Still have my learning bike though: a yamaha sr250. Comfy, but quite the dog. You Harley's would probably be embarrassed to ride with me: you'd have to ride at less than 85kph, and you'd lose me on the hills. Very embarrassing. I thought the two types of bikers are as follows: those who have fallen, and those who will fall. If that's true, I can't wait to fall. Better not fall on the duck though. Maybe i'll dump the 250, just to get it out of the way: it's not like I'm going fast enough to hurt myself. Bikes rock!
dont suppose a motocrosser would fit with all those Harley's, but at least I can cut out all the corners, if not the entire road ..And nearly as loud
Well..I live in a small town called Leopoldsburg(Belgium) every last week-end of July===HARLEY rallye here...to crazy to tell you all..have a look at the video's,the pictures..I usually NEVER miss that saturdayin July..this year it was as always a big show, babes, burn outs etc...the Harley ruffle...by the way...I drive something on 2 wheels since 1994..in fact..I do not have a drivers licence for a car...never liked cars(ahah)I'll post a pic of my wheels later on==a Suzuki AN400 2005...71000kms done...Harley drivers==you're all welcome in Leopoldsburg 2014... http://www.hdleopoldsburg.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=129&Itemid=36
I gave up on bikes about 20 years ago because it is rather flat terrain and bikes started to become a bit costly in maintenance.
Always wanted to learn to ride myself got my eyes on this brand new Harley fatboy that I think looks real hot, course with the way things are goin' I'm thinkin' that's gonna be a bit. On another note whoever resurrected this thread must have been searchin' very hard to find somethin' on bikes. Keep on rockin' my man
If you have never ridden before, a Fatboy's no place to start. I think everyone should begin by riding a dirt bike off road for a while so you can get a few wrecks under there belt, learn the dynamics of a bike thats broke traction, how to put it into a slide and how to 'get off' before you take it to the asphalt. Just to keep the frivolous and unworthy off the roads, all riders IMO should be required before licensing to preform the following maneuvers ; 1. Break loose the rear wheel with the rear brake and come to a sideways skidding stop. 2. Break loose the rear wheel with clutch and throttle, do a "burnout" 3. spin a cookie 4. Using the front brake, break loose the front tire while coming to a stop on asphalt (just a little chirp at the end, no big)
