All the ppl WITHOUT A TV THESE DAYS are not mi$$ing anything!!! EXCEPT THE GARBAGE ON NOW!! -- Hard to find ANYTHING good!
It is kind of interesting to compare the younger generations (say born from 1984-2000) to the older ones (say born from 1950-1975) in their TV use. It seems the younger people find the internet FAR more interesting and the opposite is true with the older folks. My parents and I constantly look at each other in confusion since they don't see why I rarely watch TV and am always on the internet. And I wonder how they can stand watching TV with the stupid advertising and boring programs while NOT getting on the internet except to look up things like bill payments. I guess it is like the people who used to only listen to the radio and their children who started growing up with TV!
I have a 50" plasma and a 42" LED. I'm thinking of getting one of them 70+" curves tvs when I get back from the states.
I only use my tv for watching films, I'm not interested in tv programs or watching all that depressing news on tv either. I much prefer to use the internet, at least then you use your brain a lot more than watching all that rubbish they show on tv.
I've got my dead dad's TV. Pretty much all he left us. I get about five channels with an antennae and the only good thing that's ever on is Family Feud. Right now a show called Crime Watch is on, which is all about people being murdered. Yep.
i have a lg 50in flat screen hdtv in the living room thats never used.. content with my 24in tube boob in my shitty smoking room..
We have 3 tvs, none of them with a large screen. I might lose my mind if I didn't have that little bit of entertainment.
nope. i have a video monitor that is hooked up to my DVD player, and that's all i ever use it for. last time i watched TV it was 2002 or something.
not technically accurate. a laptop/computer needs a TV receiver (tuner) that is not installed by default (maybe on some models it is) in order to actually be a 'TV set'. my Macbook Pro doesn't have a TV receiver, and is not a TV set. and there's a difference between having a monitor for watching your films, and other video material, and actually tuning in on the TV channels and all their crap programs. watching TV is not the same as just watching individual films.
Yes I have a 50" that I use to hook up my laptop to. I only have 20 channels because I only use it to watch movies and do design work when I hook up a computer through the hdmi connection
