madeleine peyroux and anjani thomas , both are great and preety similar . anjani thomas has worked with leonard cohen for her album "blue alert" , and madeleine peyroux sings some cohen and anjani songs ( though she also has her own creations ) another recomandation , though it might prove a bit more difficult to find , maria raducanu , a romanian jazz singer . and , of course , nina simone , ella fitzgerald , billie holliday and sarah vaughan
