How would you react if your son started cross dressing?

not the cute kid thing Hippychickmommy talked about in dancer annie's thread, and not gay either. Just Wears dresses.

 

my ex boyfriend did from time to time. he also worse my underwear sometimes. didn't bother me one bit. it would bother me if my husband did it, because it would be a radical change in behavior and therefore probably indicative of stress or something. but anyway, a cross dressing son wouldn't bother me at all. even if he became a full-on, spike heel wearing drag queen.

 

though i would likely put him in self defense classes and be sure to teach him to avoid unwanted advances and attacks, just like i will my daughters.

 

ok...I would ask him whats going on..then we would talk about the hate hes going to run into if he wears such clothing out of the house

 

my family is such a band of misfits that being attacked with hate is par for the course. we can't help it. people will always find a reason to hate you if they want one. can't let fear stop you from being yourself. though certain precautions would have to be taught.

 

A surprise I know all too well....but she is a beautiful little girl...

 

I've cross dressers in my family. There's very little that my kids can do that would shock me or give me cause for concern. Hell, if I had a son who wore dresses, I'd probably be more concerned with the possibility that he looks better in dresses than I do.

 

Loan him my pumps.

 

I'd buy him a new dress.

 

I'd be somewhat excited to have a new wardrobe in a sense. Then, I would go shoot some hippies....

 

well, i'll talk to him and see whats going on with him. then i'll have him sit down with his mom and they can talk make-up and such
