Who ever said Carter was a great president? He's ranked about in the middle.

You have already stated that facts don't matter, "it doesn't matter what the facts are," (post #422), but I'll relate one anyway for the others in this thread who do think that facts matter.
Carter normalized relations with China, Nixon didn't and Kissinger didn't.
We have all lived through interesting times. So what?
The Iran hostage crises occurred during Carter's presidency, a fuel shortage, and high mortgage rates and you claim that makes him one of the worse presidents in history.
Sorta like the outbreak of the Civil War made Lincoln one of the worse presidents and WWII made Roosevelt one of the worse.

Reagan and Trump on mount Rushmore!! I suppose you have emotional reasons for that, not factual ones.

That's precisely why trying to reason with these people logically is a complete waste of time. You're utilizing your frontal cortex; they're responding only from their amygdala.

"Donald has figured out something most others have not: white evangelicals, the white working class, the Proud Boys and their ilk, aren’t voting against their self-interests, they are voting for what is of most interest to them and what most animates them—white supremacy, Christian nationalism, and hatred of the other."

    Nice link to Mary Trump.
Unfortunately few will read it as it is over one sentence fragment long, and even if they do some people won't be able to understand it.

What's truly sad is not that they can't understand it, but they adamantly refuse to even try; their cult-imposed confirmation bias is unassailable by logic and reason, because they've become so identified with their cult that any information from outside their insular bubble that might introduce even a smidgen of cognitive dissonance is so threatening to their delicate, fragile ego identity it existentially terrifies them.

Is Islamic Nationalism better, worse or no different from what you call Christian Nationalism? All religions are basically free to practice, preach, protest, etc in every majority Christian country I can think of. But name one Islamic majority country in the Middle East where that is true.

Morocco: Article 3 of the Moroccan constitution "guarantees to all the free exercise of beliefs".
The UAE: The government recognises various Christian denominations. Christians are free to worship and wear religious clothing, if applicable.
Egypt: Christianity is the second largest religion in Egypt. The vast majority of Egyptian Christians are Copts. As of 2019, Copts in Egypt make up approximately 10 percent of the nation's population, with an estimated population of 9.5 million or 10 million. In 2018, approximately 90% of Egyptian Christians were Coptic Orthodox.
The history of Egyptian Christianity dates to the Roman era as Alexandria was an early center of Christianity.

Of course none of the above is appropriate in the United States because our constitution specifically provides for a separation of church and state. Looking at the years since Christianity became a religion one really would be hard put to say it’s morally superior to any other religion….lots of carnage and killings.

The Islamic counterpart of Christian Nationalism would be the kind of islamic jihadism that fuels ISIS, al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian theocracy, etc. Most Christian majority countries and Muslim-majority countries aren't comparable to those extremist movements, than God! And ost governments of Christian majority countries are secular. But Christian Nationalists aren't that at all!
