You bought a nice collection but Coldplay, C'mon. I was very suprised by the john Mayer Trio. good stuff. You need to check out Ozo Matli live at the Filmore.

Sufjan Stevens' "Illinois" should be at least in the top-10.

the top 60 something are awesome, however... obviously i did leave a few out, but if youve only heard of 10 of those groups/artists and two of them are coldplay and oasis, you've got a lot of listening to do.

Since you included Miles, Dylan, etc....This was another awesome find from the archives:

Pretty much anything 'new' issued by Mosaic Records deserves to be heard.

I can't believe that Frances The Mute wasn't on there...I know it beats most of those, and it was probably the best thing from The Mars Volta so far....

I know about 55 of those bands/singers. You have a good list but you missed some great albums, like

    The Mars Volta-Frances The Mute
    Serena Maneesh-Serena Maneesh
    Deerhoof-The Runners Four
    Metric-Live it Out
    Sleater-Kinney-The Woods
    Patrick Wolf-Wind In The Wires
    Wolf Parade-Apologies To Queen Marry
    Stars-Set Yourself On Fire
    Okkervil River-Black Sheep Boy
    Okkervil River-Black Sheep Boy Appendix
    Ladytron-Bewitched
...And You Will Know Us By The Trails Of Dead-Worlds Apart
Antony And The Johnsons-I Am A Bird Now
Architecture In Helsinki-In Case We Die
    Bloc Party-Silent Alarms
    The Spinto Band-Nice
    Castanets-First Lights Freeze
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah-Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
    Stellastar-Harmonies For The Haunted
    Rogue Wave-Descended Like Vultures
    Spoon-Gimme Fiction

There were definitely some nobodies you had listed, I never even heard of them, and I think i can confidently say I know the indie scene pretty well (God, you're knowledge is massive, though.) It was definitely cool to see somebody who knew who Mi and L'au were, though.

By the way, did you actually buy ALL those albums this year? I bought a 130 albums or so, and that's only because of my shitty part time job. It's probably the most I've ever bought in one year. How do you afford all of it?

It's a good idea to do that... maybe a little megalomaniac... but when somebody like SoulRebel as good taste...it's alright to do it...

I'm not sure you put Kate Bush in your lList !?

And even if i was i still a fan of the 2 first Black Rebel albums the last one is a real deception... the concept was really exciting ...to be back at the roots with some modern approach... and their 1st single was really something good...

But apparently it was the big tree hidin' the desert... 1 or 2 more good song dont' make a good album...

But there's some strange/attractings things into the list... i will listen to some of them...
