I hate having to make my bed, find sheets for it, etc...so I'm thinking of just buying a sleeping bag. Anyone else sleep in a sleeping bag when at home?
That sounds like a good Idea! I just don't make my bed ever. I figure why bother? I am just going to mess it up again. I saw something somewhere that said a clean house is a wasted life. I really like that idea.
By the time I wake up on weekends, It's already time to go to sleep... so I don't make my bed. I also have a couch but half of the time I just sleep on the floor.
There's nothing wrong with a little bit of cleanliness or tidyness... for one thing it's easier to find stuff! It takes me about a minute to make my bed in the morning, I also tuck the pillow under the sheets to keep the dust of it as for some reason our house is uber-dusty and if I don't do this I get da sneezes. BUT... I want to switch to a sleeping bag setup in my next dwelling though, so I can reclaim the space that a bed takes up! I also find a sleeping bag more comfortable to sleep in, particulary during winter months when a normal bed can suffer a breach down by the foot area and make you cold.
Wow, that's a great idea! I love sleeping in sleeping bags...and it would make things easier/save a lot of room. Good thinkin
i actually really like the comfort of an unmade and messy bed. but my mum insists on making it... but i just mess it up again
I slept in a sleeping bag for a while when I was a teenager, it was really nice! Other than that I've usually used a comforter, only in college did I use sheets & blankets. Comforters make it easy to make your bed too!
A down-filled blanket type thing, sorta like a zipped-open sleeping bag. Hm, sorta hard to explain if you've never seen one.
I did for a while, until the powers that be (parents) stopped me. It's also great on summnber nights just to unzip the entire thing and use it as a blanket, cold sside onyou.
-You'll want to user a sleeping bag liner (like a sheet) or otherwise the bag will eventually get filthy inside from body oils, just like an unwashed blanket. -Sleeping bags make having a sex partner in bed with you impossible, unless it's one of those rectangular sleeping bags that unzip to make a comforter/blanket, which still leaves you without either a top or bottom.
silk sleeping bag liner my personal choice - in the hottest summer days you can also do away with the sleeping bag altogether i was actually thinking a sleeping bag is easier to wash - I just turn it inside out and stick it in the washing machine... although mine is a lightweight stuffer sleeping bag that collapses down to a tiny bag and is washing-machine friendly, never used it outdoors and is too cold below 15 degrees, but this makes it perfect for indoor useage!
I used a sleeping bag on my regular bed for an extremely long time, until I made a quilt that I now use. It works perfectly fine, and if you have a sheet it looks fine, too.
Good to know I'm not the only one who didn't know what a comforter was! In the past 2 days i've asked alot of people that question and now I fuinally have an answer. I call comforters, "doonas".
i've certainly done it! up until i got together with my partner, i slept in my bag at home. dates either loved it or hated it!
