I dig it. The mountains in the background have great color for distance. Sort of a hazy type background. I can't stop staring at the house though...it does & doesn't make sense at the same time. Thats a good thing.
It's a very nice painting... It looks very inviting. The door is open and the surroundings are very pastural, but the house is dark and seems vacant and empty. What is inside I wonder? Dreams, space, questions? Is there any furniture inside? It seems like there is a note in the window upstairs. Is that what it is? And the house seems to be out in the middle of nowhere, but there is a very pleasant looking road that goes right by the house, almost touching the side of the house. The place is definately open to people to visit. It definately draws me in.
i enjoyed your painting, appreciate the softness of it. curious about the house though. not to cut and chase, i'll say i just assume it as what a house can often mean within a dream [a self]. so, the ground floor has blue windows that seem to let light in or out and can be seen through---but the upstairs has black windows? the rear upper of the house nearly merges with the mountains..
