I <3 a good zombie movie.. but if their dead already then why would trauma to the head make them die again?

Depends if they're living dead or un-dead.

According to Return of the Living Dead they eat brains to take away the pain of being dead.

To quote one zombie "I can feel myself rotting' [IMG]

In the Romero Dead movies, the zombies retain some activity of the brain and central nervous system in order to function. Like in "Day of the Dead" where the scientist is able to teach a zombie some basic tricks. So by destroying the brain, the zombie can no longer function it is thus "killed" or maybe more appropriately "rekilled".

Yea, for good information on zombies just follow Romeros movies, in NIGHT he created the whole idea of zombies eating human flesh and it was him who decided that destroying the brain kills them, they elaborate on it a LOT in DAY... which happens to be the best one...

Return of the living dead rocks...

    send more paramedics....

Once the brain is killed, you're DEAD. But if you died of blood loss, heart, etc....your brain is still "in-tact." So I would think that's why they are able to come back.

A serial killer is cutting an equation into the victims’ corpses: ‘wz = Cov (w.z)...’ And loved ones of the victims, who’ve been brutally tortured, are tormented and suicidal.
Clue of the Tom Shankland horror film this year....

George Romero has finished his latest one, Diary Of The Dead.
I know plenty of people hated Land Of The Dead, but I loved it.
And the remake of Day Of The Dead looks dreadful.
