A shocking internet video which shows graphic footage of a teenage girl giving birth on a school field has received more than 1,500,000 hits worldwide. The promotional advert was filmed at Hamilton Community College with young actors, and was released on YouTube two weeks ago. It is being used by the primary care trust, NHS Leicester City and the city council to highlight the issue of teenage pregnancy. http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....000-views/article-1021981-detail/article.html YouTube - Teenage Pregnancy Video Did anybody catch this? Do you think it will work?
that its an actual birth, which it is not apparently its cautionary, like a "public service announcement" type thing...but nothing about the supposed birth makes much sense. i do support contraception and the right to abortions, but don't think this is an effective way to promote caution among youth.
hilarious!!! :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5: thats going to happen to EVERY teen girl that gets pregnant! ahahahaha... ahahahahahahaha!!!
ahahahah i love how they are all crowding around like they really wanna see that nastiness happen.. aahahahahahahaha!! oh geez... funny!
on a school athletic field, another student covered in blood delivering the baby, not an adult in sight....another kid with a nice camera managed to get there, at the end of the delivery, before any adults knew about it, before an ambulance was called to take her to the hospital....the entirety of her labor on a sports field.... and with a totally natural childbirth, i would imagine her screams should be far more bloodcurdling...
Obviously upto a point it is supposed to be real... I think it is more the message it is trying to convey that is important.
You're all thinking about it like adults. It will probably have the desired effect on some kids. Not to the extent they want it, but it will change some kids.
whatever, it will make girls who are starved for attention get preggo and try to have the baby at school......... in front of everyone. ewww
thats ridiculous. getting pregnant first requires her to get a man to impregnate her, and getting a man provides all the attention any female could ever want or need. ....right? :leaving:
you would think so but not quite......... there were at least 5 girls at my school who pretended to be pregnant every other damn month to get people to talk about them. fucking LAME! if they had seen they could get a bigger crowd by actually making it happen, those crazy bitches probably would have done it
I can imagine some girls doing that. You can't prevent all types of stupidity. If this just moves some girls away from a rose tinted image of pregnancy...then I think it has done it's job.
Exactly, it's not going to help all girls. There will always be those stupid ones who don't quite get it, and the clever ones who see right through it but if I'd seen that advert on tv, yes it would've said something to me. And afterall, I'm the target market, right? Also, nesta, i want to see that too.
