Im travelling through Europe for 3 months. Dunno where, Ill have to start in France, its more central and Eastern Europe that I want to explore though.

 

Im so confused about what im going to be doing..
Depends on money, really.

 

10k is gone.. my backup to 10k.. Rothbury is gone.. I'm thinkin i may go to Festi De Bella Vida... i dunno what the rest of the summer has in store for me..

 

hey man i will probably be at moedown also.. i was there this year and it was fun.. unfortunately there were some sketchy cats in the crowd but i try not to let that bother me..


the dates and lineup for one of my favorite local fests just got announced.. so ill be going to that the 4th of july weekend.. if i can get off work id like to go to vibes also, but idk about that. im just super stoked for next october.. my alltime favorite fest NY harvest fest will be going down (new venue though unfortunately).. a marijuana freedom/awareness festival with a legit cannabis cup competition on the mainstage on the 3rd day.. if your in long island.. your definitely gonna want to go to this in october.. i promise you will not be dissapointed.

also me and my friends are renting a cabin in a national park and camping there for a week in august.. gonna be a great spring/summer!

 

All the good festivals here are disappearing too...Life festival is gone Electric Picnic is being taken over by the Oxyshite promoters...Its all about the private festies here now..

 

i know how that feels

im trying to save money up for a good summer, its just really hard. And now, my job is having money issues so the hours have been really BAD lately. Between that and bills, im so fucking chained

I have to travel if i want good festivals.

All we have here and thats jazz fest and thats nothing compared to the fests you guys talk about.

 

now that I know who my real friends are, I'm thinking the whole SL meet up travel thing is out the window, just gonna be travelling around a few of my friends from KC. We're going to Schwagstock a week and a half after graduating. And then were going straight from Schwagstock to Wakarusa... Then who knows...

 

Yea, i was really looking forward to the SL trip but it doesn't even seem like nick is doing it anymore...

 

yea man, ill deff check that out. I've heard about that, and yes, I will either be at moe or vibes (whatever one i can get off from work) with a few buds. If so, we should meet up at one of those festies, lol. Yea man, i know what your talking about when it comes to sketchy cats.

didn't it used to be somewhere in midtown? along the lines of the 40th-50th? Or am i just a silly day off stoner that can't remember anything lol.

 

im not sure where it will be this year, last year it was at a place called camp minglewood in Hancock, NY.. which is in like southern NY (around binghamton).. but they announced on the website 2009 would be their last year at that venue.. which is a real shame because camp minglewood was one of the best venues i have ever been to..

but it is by far the best thing i have ever attended in my life.. on a whim this october me and a friend drove 4.5 hours to get there, not knowing at all what this fest was gonna be like (we had only read about it online).. and the moment we got there our minds were fucking blown.. literally, the moment we pulled in.. the lady who we paid to get our weekend tickets was standing there with a huge jar of some fuckin DANK buds that she was showing off because she was entering them in the cup.. at the point we werent even inside the festival, and we were like omg.. this is gonna be insane.

we walked in from the parking areas carrying our packs and our tent and cooler and such.. and the moment you walk into the festival grounds.. you see literally hundreds of people with temporary stores set up by their campsites, selling dank buds, baked goods, hash, oils, butter, etc etc.. unbelievable man.. and EVERYWHERE you go in the festival STINKS like fuckin dank buds.. before we even found a spot to pitch our tent, i had already spent over 100$ and had hash, 2 different kinds of dank, weed cookies, and a few hits of LSD (all within like 20 mins of being in the fest).. considering its a cannabis festival, you know that every one of the 6-7 thousand people there are potheads.. which means there is a LOT of buds around.... i tell people that have never been to it..imagine if weed were legal, and there was a giant super market with several hundred, maybe even 1000 weed dealers.. NY harvest fest would be like that, only 500x better..

other notable things i saw this year were the ping-a-plant.. which was like a beerpong like game where if you bounce a ping pong ball in a hole in a table, you win a budding weed plant! only cost one nugget (of any size) to play too..the phreak den which was a 24/7 rave in this huge building.. there is 3 stages, and the music is 24/7 throughout the weekend which is the best part.. there are also marijuana activist speakers on some of the stages throughout the weekend.. and of course, the cannabis cup on sunday at 4:20! if you have a lot of weed (dank).. you do NOT need money for this festival.. you can pay for everything (including your ticket) with dank buds.. even all the vendors in the vendor village have signs saying "will trade for kind".. there is also live glass blowing throughout the weekend, where you can get custom pieces blown right in front of you, and smoke a fat bowl with the artist..

its like 125$ or like 100$ pre-sale for a weekend ticket.. but highly worth it.. i could not believe something like this exists.. and that it is in the U.S... i would drive 4 days to get to this fest if i had to... anybody in/around the western/southern NY region or bordering areas definitely should go to this! but dress WARM cause its in october and in NY that can be fuckin chilly..

only thing that sucks about it.. is that it totally spoils you.. after Harvest Fest the rest of the fests you go to dont really even compare. like i said.. by far the best event i have ever attended in my life.. if anybody has been to this.. you know what im talkin about

I'm planning on getting a cottage in my favorite town in the world, Naragansett, Rhode Island. Beer, buds, good people, bitches, and the beach. All I need in life. Its either that or hitting up a metal fest in Europe. And after all of that, MAYBE vibes.

 

if a decent amount of us are going to vibes, we very well may have to do a vibes meet up XD ahah. vibes is like our four day getaway from the daily struggles of life man.
