Ok you have one choice and one choice only so its a very limited thread but one I hope you think very carefully about (as I will ) but I REALLY want to know what track is it that you rate above all others. If you mark down more than one then the first you write will be taken as definitive of you

    ok so heres my choice

and damn now I think of it well its a tough choice but I will take
    "Autobahn" by Kraftwerk

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
It's kinda stretching the definition of "track" though, as it's 45 minutes long.

haha, yeah you have to specify the album for Dark Star, there's so many versions of it (all great).

    It's tough, so very tough!
I got it down to about five contenders.
As of now though, I'm gonna go with:

The Beatles - A Day In The Life

Incredibly tough decision here, so many to choose from.
I am going to go for starway to heaven, like Ezzei I belive it is a peice of muscial genius. And it has the added novelty that if you play it backwards it reads out satanic messages.

I don't feel I have an ultimate song as music is about horses for courses but,

    That's Entertainment - The Jam

Has stayed with me through the years.

Amen man! Perfect ying/yang.. though I'm not 100% sure if the satanic messeges aren't just bs.

Also the chord in your sig: you're playing on your les paul looks like the one at the start of stairway to heaven.. ah i'm such a guitar geek[IMG]

Same here Paul. I guess my all time favourite track has to be Saddness Part one, by Enigma.

Hmm i don't know about absolute favourite, but the Stone Roses' I am the Resurrection is high on my list.

Stairway used to be one of my favourites, but i went and overplayed it and i can't really feel it anymore :( Maybe if i don't hear it for a few years and then go listen to it i'll be able to enjoy it again..

I found it. It came on and now I know. It's me and my best friend Lauras song, and that's reason enough.
Passenger Seat - Death Cab For Cutie.
