so obivously you shouldnt change who you are no matter who you are around... to an extent. ive noticed im a lot happier and smilier around my 'significant other'... as i should be, but i mean more in general. i tend to be more outgoing and loud with friends, and around my boyfriend i become almost something else. not in a bad way i dont think, but it just made me realize... why is it that i (and maybe you?) find it necessary to act differently around different people? i mean, i know different people bring out different sides of you. i dont know, just wanted some opinions on this. :H (also- i tend to become very hostile and defensive around my family. my mom makes me depressed and self destructive and my aunt makes me insecure and guilty. i know, weird, but its interesting the way us humans work.)
I think everyone reveals different facets of themselves to different people. I say things around my friends I would never say with my parents in the room. As for my boyfriend, yes, definitely happier, smilier, gigglier... I probably act a bit younger than I normally do around him. I don't joke the same way around him as I do with galpals, because, well, he's male and someone I'm dating. A lot of hte jokes my friends and I make are sex-based or the like, not necessarily things that work with your bf in the room
My boyfriend is the only person who really knows me. I can cry only when I'm with him and he is also very emotional when we are together. He is a punk so people thinks that he is rude and he cant love, but he is diferent when we are together. I love him very much becouse of this.
When you act happy around your significant other, it is usually because they bring out the best in you. I have a friend who is a happy person, but is grouchy around her significant other. It makes me see how she acts different around him and it is weird. He is probably not the one for her.
