how far did you get in your education and how does that relate to your job? basically, what grades did you get in high school and what is your current job, do you like it? do you want to do something else with your life?
I have just got a new job working with 4-10 year olds. I had my first day today. Basically i get to PLAY all day and i LOVE it! I am however qualified in advacned English language, literature and French. This has nothing to do with my current job whatsoever. Im kind of saving money before i travel and use my language skills, though, and its a fun way to do it
I didn't really go to school, however I started work scaffolding at about 15 and at the age of 18 I'm a supervisor . I get payed lots and lots and lots and lots. Also the money is great. Really good money. $$$$$
I did not do well in high school. I ended up with a 2.73 GPA. Now I'm a bread and pastry baker. I love the work, but the pay is not to good. oh well...
I am one class away from my BA, I have been trying to pass this class for two years, employers are usually very understanding and allow me to interview for degree required positions. I am a very highly paid part-time freelance trainer for a non-profit and am also a very low-paid freelance writer. I only work a few weeks a year. I get to travel when I work, with all expenses paid and stay in nice hotels. My last full-time job paid very well and had a lot of perks-car allowance, laptop, cell phone, company credit card and gas card as will my next job. I am deciding between two jobs right now. I got okay grades in high school. I skipped a grade in primary and skipped a semester in high school. I started college when I was 16. I was very smart but never applied myself and I also have a learning disability, which made school hard and is one of the reasons I am having a hard time passing my last class. I went to junior college out of high school because of my age and then went on to the best state school in the county because of my greek and extra-curricular involvement-not because of my grades, which were mostly C's. Even though I graduated high school very early and very young I didn't get the best grades,I just did exceptionaly well on apptitdue tests and on the STAR tests at the end of the year and so the district deemed me as a bored student and attributed that to my poor grades. I think your high school grades matter for what college you want to go to, rather than what job you're going to take out of high school. Are you planning on going to college?
i did alright in high school. not great, but not bad. my classes were geared towards business. which is what i'm taking now in college - going for a business management degree with a minor in economics. however, this has nothing to do at all with my job during the summer, which is a supervisor at a sports camp. i've been lucky or lazy (which ever way you want to look at it) in taht i never had to work during the school year. at times i wanted to, but decided not to. my high school grades have had no impact on my job. i'm not doing all that good in college, almost failed out...so yea, my gpa is sucky and i'm not sure i want to do anything in the business field or not, but thats what my degree will read
I did pretty well in high school, didn't work much at all but still got good grades. I'm now in uni, doing a joint degree in anthropology and development studies and I'm only two dissertations away from my BA degree, wohooh. I want to continue my education and do an MA, and hopefully someday a PhD as well. Not because I enjoy studying so much but because I think the title PhD will look cool on my credit card. Haha just kidding... Anyway... I want to work in the development field somehow, maybe for some NGO and hopefully do something that has to do with human rights. We'll see how that goes...
i got through my 1st year of highschool...almost. i started working when i was 14. at a garden place. then i worked at a place selling construction supplies and that didnt last long. now im looking for a job.
Very cool! What part of the enviorment? Like an animals rights activist, geology, studying the ocean or marine life? Do you like science? Do you want to work outdoors or in an office?
you can do geology and then specialize in say volcanoes or earthquakes or coral reefs or do oceanography i started off as a geology major...now business you can always change your mind
I graduated high school when I was 16 and then fucked off for like 4 years. Then I had the idea that I wan't to get into diesels and alternative fuels so I went to school forr diesel mechanics. now I work on trucks, making decent money for someone my age. I don't really love my current job, so I only plan on keeping it until I get my tools and student loans paid off, then find my nice little niche in the industry. Probably doing grease diesel conversions or something.
I went to college right out of high school and got a 4 year degree in criminal justice and a second degree in social welfare. I got a job right away as a counselor, and recently started taking classes towards my masters of social work. Once I get that I will be making about a third of what my husband makes with a 4 year degree and some certifications. Frustrating, but at least he's on my team!
i want to work outside, even in the winter. i want to discovery other ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
I got my current job with a grade 10 education (retail) and worked my way up as high as I want to be with the company... the money is crazy good for the education but I hate the job, so I'm in school for other stuff to get out of there.
I'm going to get my good enough diploma..Registered today. Test is in April. After that, I may become a CNA. (certified nurses assistant) I was working while I was barely going to highschool. I hated school. From there, I'm not sure.
i hate school and rather work but if i dont finish high school, my family would look down upon me. i figured out what i want to do. i want to be an environmentist and measure how much pollution certain things cause, then find alternative ways to not produce as much, or none.
Just finish, or take the GED now. It's easier to get it over with fresh, while you're in it. Good luck!
