    Who are yours?

Do you have just one or many? or none?

    Just curious.

If there is already a thread like this I am sorry... lol.

Am only really just getting truly acquainted with them, having emerged from that 'dumb fluffy wicca in denial' phase during which I pledged allegiance to 'the lord & lady'. Not sure if this is the actual set up or just me having been young, but they felt a lot like 'nice God'# and 'God in a dress'.

So it feels a bit odd to be staking a claim at this stage. Am at a bit of a crossroads really, and being libra am not too adept at totally settling on something. Though would definetly not be cool with mixing the two.
Anyway, current options as they stand...

    The Celtic*pantheon
Feels right to as they are the Gods of my ancestors and home. Have always felt something of an affinity to Cerridwen. Am also best aquainted with the Celtic practises and calendar, well as they stand in the modern day.
There's some Anglo-saxon in my heritage too, so am planning to research that.

    The Norse pantheon
Have felt an interest, and 'draw' of sorts, since I studied the Vikings as a child. Leant about other mythologies and was interested but not to the same degree. Not sure if anything will come of it from a spiritual perspective, but will pursue it.

Am noticing a theme of proud flawed but strong deities, who are fighters and lovers in equal measures. One should have an empathy with the Gods, and I can relate to those traits.
Rather that than all those super pure and perfect Gods. You'll never be as good as them so why even try, y'know?
Still that's not half as annoying as idiots who say things like 'I've worked with [insert dark/war Goddess here] and she's actually really nice, just misunderstood, blah blah'
Excellent, thank you for undoing milenia of mythology in one sentence.
I know someone who works with Hades, which takes real skill. Yes they obvious have a rapport, but she has to really put in the work and advises other against it if they are in any way faint hearted.

So umm yeah, shall try get back to the point ...

I consider the Gods as seperate individuals, with their own traits and strengths. So shall try to get to know them all and establish good relations, but will probably have a few I spend more time with because we click.

    *specifically English, [lowland] Scottish, Welsh

#The Christian God, new testament version. As opposed to the vengful smiteing jealous God of the old testament. Must say I have a distinct preference to the latter.

I have a lot. I mostly follow Hellenismos, a reconstructed form of ancient Greek polytheism. I stick to one pantheon as a personal choice as IMHO each culture's articulation of their experience of the divine form a coherent picture of the divine much as each culture's language expresses their thoughts.

Principally are my patrons Leto and Apollon and Dionysos and Thyone. Then there are the rest of the Olympians: Hera, Zeus, Demeter, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Ares, Athena, Hephaistos, Hermes, Artemis and Hestia. Then there are some "minor" (admittedly not the best choice of a word) figures: Hekate, Pan, Eros, and Thetis with occassional worship given to Silenos, the Horai, Helios, the Nymphai, the Muses, Herakles and Prometheus.
