Starch. The staff of life! I'm sure those of us who like this nutrient have a favorite; rice, pasta, corn. Mine is (or used to be bread). Oddly, I only keep one loaf at a time in the house. Do you keep more than one type of bread at any given time? Any favorites? Mine is almost always 100% whole wheat.
We usually have 2-3 loaves of bread....I admit some does get tossed to the birds...usually rye, wheat and white
I used to make sourdough every week... but stopped when I didn't want to be like a blimp filled with gas. Specialty was the pullman loaf.
Wholemeal bread toast some mornings (I also eat full-fry-ups too some days). Tatties (sometimes sweet tatties too) at lunch time as part of a substantial meal and more wholemeal bread sarnies for evening 'Tea' .
I like bread, wholemeal mostly. Will eat puff pantry, rice, pasta, and other grains, regularly but none compare to bread (mmmmmm)
