...Calling all you foodies! lol.. Do any of you have a particular cuisine you prefer over others? Or any certain style/cuisine you cook at home?

    (Example: French, Mexican, Chinese, Mediterranean..etc)

I'm not really a "foodie" lol.. but I appreciate good food and different cultures. I believe every type of cuisine and each country has something good to offer. Though i'm still quite young and haven't had the chance to try many different styles of food yet..

However, I would say my favorites thus far are:

-French - I had some amazing Lamb a few times and Foie gras...gotta love the emphasis on cheese and wine! ..and truffles! lol
-Italian -I love all the pasta, pizza, breads, etc ..
    -Thai
-Spanish - Had some really good Spanish seafood a few times..and some really good ham. Olive oil and garlic are used in almost everything.
-American - We have lots of great foods here in America! I really like New England style food (Lobster, Chowder).. and Southern style foods are awesome (Crayfish, Biscuits w/ honey, Deep fried chicken, etc...)

There quite a few others I like.. but these are my top.

I really want to try more styles of food.. Hopefully I can travel to quite a few countries in the future and experience some new foods/culture/places. I feel it is very important to experience different cultures...:sunny:

Do you have really good Yorkshire pudding in Yorkshire, or just the Indian food?

I know it's not entirely true (there are some great restaurants in England).. but overall, isn't England lacking in the food world?

I could see you guy's having good authentic Indian food though! You guys have a high Indian population I believe..

Hmm I love good Indian, Russian, Thai, seafood (esp lobster etc).
Anything exotic. I'm also becoming more interested in French.

And Middle Eastern and Central American etc.

BTW British food is largely terrible.. with some exceptions.

I don't like "English" English. But I think the fact our own food is rather plain, means that our chefs explore other countries food more. And do things like fusion/ adventurous cooking. So we have a good selection of international restaurants.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. It's kind of like here in America where we have many chefs exploring other countries food.. so you can find a lot of good international restaurants/food in many our cities.

@wobs ...Are you a Sheffield FC fan?? haha
