Ok, some people did a New Years Resolution about 11 months ago now. A whole big plan, fresh new start, whatever you might call it. So did you do everything you planned to this year? Or will you, by Dec 31st? Or was this year one you just planned to cruise through without any particular obstacles/challenges etc. Do you see life differently this yr vs last? Do you think next year will be radically different to last year's? Or more of the same?
New years resolution: Be AWESOME. Completed that January 1st and every day since. Well maybe with the exception of 4 or 5 days but for the most part yeah, I've been awesome.
I totally forgot if I made a resolution so I don't know how well I did in accomplishing a resolution goal. If mine was to gain weight, I totally killed it.
i've never broken the resolution never to make resolutions. things like that just jinx any kind of effort toward them anyway. one year and two weeks ago, i moved from roseville california to sparks nevada. i have state i.d., bus i.d., and library card, to make me feel i have made where i am now my home. shelves have been built, the fraiming for 1/4' scale narrow gauge model railroad completed, basic landform and rock texture scenery forming has passed the 50% point. thoroughly learned my way around local transit system. cats and dogs have adopted me. my subscriptions and statements all come to my current address. been to one local furcon, which was the first one in the local area. can't think of much else to report. signed a lot of online petitions.
5 replies, and none of the 5 did resolutions. Meanwhile, I did about 5 resolutions, and only semi kept to them. Did anyone other than me actually make a resolution? Anyone else never make them, or not this yr?
I do not tend to make resolutions. I did years ago and found that they were things I would have done anyways. I do set goals all the time so perhaps it is not really any different other than the dates are all over the place rather than one day.
I make no resolutions. If I am going to change something I do it then and not wait until the New year to start. It is kinda like people starting a diet after the Holidays, If you are serious about it you will do it now.
I don't do resolutions, but in general this was a good year for me. It could be better in about a week --> http://www.balkaninsight.com/en/article/gay-marriage-referendum-not-unconstitutional-croatia-court Finally. It makes me slightly optimistic about this country. But we shall see.
Too many secretly homosexual politicians for that to happen in Britain.. : ( Won't the pro-EU thing stop it? Resolutions are a big tradition with me. A bit of a superstition too, I suppose. I partially achieved them. Altho' I also intended to take time out for some extended travels. Which I've yet to do. I'm still deciding 2014's resolutions.
this. there was a lot of change over the last year. got a new job and moved across the state, eventually changed jobs again (different job, same workplace). i don't really see any changes of that scale coming next year, although i also didn't predict them to happen this year.
I didn't make any resolutions but I'm happy with my progression this year. Always room for more progression next year.
I'm guessing that my resolution was to travel and move to Florida. Which I did, but that didn't last long. Also, I had this idea that I would stay single until the end of the year, but that didn't happen either 'cause I got into a relationship towards the beginning of the year and I definitely don't want to get into one now. It's probably going to be the same this year...travel, maybe not move to Florida, but definitely visit Florida and CA and figure out where I'd like to live, when I decide to actually move.
Yeah, I prefer Florida weather. But I know way more people in CA and I've lived there for many years so there is a lot of familiarity there. I'll be back in Florida this spring though and probably again in the fall, so someday I will find the perfect place in FL. I don't really think CA weather is great, although Californians love to brag about it. It's not warm enough for me...
Agreed. And northeast FL is by far and away the best spot imo. Possibly the best spot on the entire east coast.
That is the only area I really haven't explored much of...but I have a thing for Southwest Florida. I plan on checking it out though. I'm planning my trip excitedly...if you have any tips let me know...
