Your Attention: The Lone Star Bandit Strikes Again!

With the arrival of the new forums comes a new user rating system. Along with the warning point system, presided over by mods, there is also a system in your user profile consisting of stars. When another user views your profile they may fill out the number of stars they think appropriate to give you. But with a new system, there comes new ways to abuse it. There has been a user going around and giving people... one star. Not three. Not four or five. Just one. And it breaks the hearts and the self confidence of the victims. I know... because I was once a victim of this mysterious One Star Bandit... -until someone bailed me out

But that's not the point. I propose we start a support group, right here in this thread, for victims of the Lone Star Bandit, so we can provide each other the necessary courage, support, confidence, and - most importantly - those little golden star thingies, to overcome this terrible damage of this horrible, awful person. That's right - a support group of positive ratings... even if you only have it in you to give your fellow forum member a 3 out of 5, it will still help in the effort against this mysterious masked figure who stalks the darkest side of the forum.

Another member's fate - and more importantly, their rating - may depend on you. Act now

 

the one time i looked at my profile here, i did notice i had a four star rating and i could not figure out where that came from. i haven't checked recently, so i suppose it's possible that this bandit has brought it down since then. but more likely, he had already given me my one star, and since then several more people have rated me a five so i'm probably up to 4.9 by now.

i do feel like lowering your rating just for making me think of delicious steak and then posting about something else.
