Life is an illusion created by my mind, already can I feel my senses fading away as I type this. Everyone and everything in existence stems from my mind. I am in terms "God" I am me and only me what is me? Existence, where does it come from? How would I know you all are real? Nonduality has expanded my mind to a higher level of being, almost as if I have ascended. Instead of worrying of actions, my personality, the clothes I wear, I instead only worry of life after death.

Depersonalization and disassociation are the only medical disorders I suffer from, which would explain my reasoning. Though such disorders are actually considered gifts amongst most philosophical communities. I am letting myself know I am gifted, I have the talent to realize my sole existence. And that is too exist.

Daaaaamn, glad I got that out :D

It sounds like you're making some great spiritual progress man!

You've inspired me to go on and write out some of my philosophical ideas to expand on the topic...

Your mind is part of what guides your being through the material Universe; which unfortunately isn't crafted especially for you by the mind, but exists "within you and without you".

You are God, I am God. Everything that has ever manifested in the vast Cosmos is a part of "God" as a whole. God expanded the Universe from itself via the big bang as a way to to know itself in full capacity. We did this through the process of experiencing change, growth, life, death, love, compassion, companionship, roles, relation to other beings etc..

Your/this whole existence might just be one experience to be played through out of an infinite number - which is constantly adding to the collective consciousness of everything. So by that standard, you shouldn't have to worry about anything. Even life after death.

As a Buddhist, I believe in skillful living: In other words, instead of having to constantly worry about your life's karmic ties and dukha(sufferings), you skillfully avoid wrong actions, a negative personality, and naturally realize that appearances are deceiving and constantly changing.

Why? Just look at people who are doing hard time for committing a crime that has affected someone negatively: the guilt and consequences are unbearable. Helping others is truly helping yourself, only it feels way better. So my advice is don't simply avoid worrying about those things, alter them to fit the situation; play it by ear man. Don't carry the heavy burden of guilt and karma with your soul.

As long as you're aware in the present moment, follow your emotions and you know what's right and meaningful for yourself and your life's purpose, you'll begin to self- actualize. In this life and the next: It'll just be the hip new transitional viewpoint for your soul to experience.

You are absolutely right about your sole/soul purpose man! Existing is what you're here for. What course of action, either positive or negative, how you affect those around you, and what you decide to accomplish with the privilege of your current existence is up to you! What freedom! :D

That good to know I helped! Buddhism is a philosophy I have been considering for a long time, but just the moral code Buddha had is a hard one to follow. But I have believed in Karma all my life and it has changed paths for good and bad!

Do you have any meditation tips? I haven't full fledged meditated for a long period of time but am interested in trying it!

And thanks for the response !

Yeah, the moral path of a Buddha (perfectly enlightened being) is certainly A most difficult one. Following the code of ethics in Buddhism has many great personal advantages, but Siddhartha even told his disciples not to follow anything, even his own word and teaching unless they could verify it for themselves.

The moral principles Buddhism offers such as the four noble truths, and the noble eightfold path are some of the fastest ways of attaining true knowledge and happiness for yourself. They are tried, tested, and true and have been used for thousands of years.

I've found that meditation is crucial for developing awareness, and that meditation is mindful awareness on a very concentrated level..

    Tips:

    Pre-meditation:

Get yourself comfortable enough that you won't feel restricted or have the urge to move.

Whichever position you choose to practice in, (sitting, laying down on the floor, walking, etc.) make sure that your back is straight. This helps align the chakras/hara line energies and also keeps you alert and away from dozing off..

    Meditation:

Now that you're in position... You could begin to pay attention to the breath to build up your concentration (really good way to get into gear), then you can DO NOTHING!

It really is that simple. Don't think about it, just go with the flow in the present moment. If something distracts you during the meditation, just make a note of the arising, duration and passing away of such occurrences and continue.

If you're just starting out, you may find guided meditations VERY helpful like I did.

If you scroll down, Malcom Huxter's guided meditation are amazing! His voice is really calming, and I have a thing for accents lol Just choose whichever appeals to you and getter' done!

    Thank you So Much!

I am going to get started right away, and if I have anymore questions I would love it if I could come to you?

So the walking thing, Can I go on walks? That seems like a more difficult meditation technique, is there certain variables I should go out? Time, Weather, People, Etc.

Yeah for sure dude! Just post on my profile or message me with any questions you have.

The motivation for the walking meditation for me at least, is more about focusing on the physical sensations of walking as you walk, rather than say going for a stroll outside to view the scenery or to relax.

To do it, try it in an area where you're comfortable pacing up and down with your eyes closed. Focus on the feeling of each step, of the feeling of the floor on every part of your foot. Just be completely aware of each step as you take them, then lose all distracting thoughts and surrender to the experience.

You sir should speak for mankind. We are the creators, whether we acknowledge it or not.

In the end we are just but a single drop of consciousness in the ocean we call the soul.

The I that says it is God is not what it appears to be. It is a rather useful lens that allows us to see a small portion of reality in a very clear, stable way, which in turn allows us to get a lot done within that small portion. God is. The I sees.

    MY kind of topic.

Dreams are our best example of how reality is always all in our minds, and far more amazing is that even after awakening from an entire false reality that existed only to vanish, we don't consider this subject worthy of deep investigation.

In whichever state we are in at the time that is our world, our reality; only when we "awake" we go on ignoring this amazing wake up call.
basically every individual is a "buble", but very connected to many other bubbles in empty space dreaming a self-created private world of "solid" objects and space and other beings around, and allways asssuming "I am this body".

I've had this same exact thought before, so many times! There are many times in which i believe it's true as well. How everybody and everything is just a creation of my mind.

But i as well "suffer" from Depersonalization, and Derealization too. It's a gift, but also a pain... I find it to be extremely difficult to focus on "normal" things such as studying or work, because of this
