Contrary to eons of beliefs, pi or the Golden Ratio, has turned out to not be entirely random, but describes a multidimensional multifractal equation. Pythagorean mystics are having an existentialist crisis, while Stoics are running in circles screaming the sky is falling! Nobody can find Zeno, and Max Planck won't stop laughing.

where and when was it ever popular to believe pi to be random?
pi is one of those magic numbers, that if you know all the other veriables in the equasion and you solve beckward for it, always comes up exactly the same.

what is a bit amusing is that all such constants as they are called, be it pi, or avagadro's number, or planc's constant, or little c,
are very very odd, even bizaar sorts of numbers, their actual values.

which really proves the universe owes nothing to being convenient to us. and strongly suggests that we are NOT what it was created for.

Believing something is random, is akin to claiming it was an act of God. Random merely means you cannot detect any order, and there's nothing to believe in, and the number pie was assumed to not repeat, until modern computers could calculate it to an extreme, and discover it has some order.

Suppose you have an apple. You can eat it, make apple pie out of it, or sow it to get an apple tree.

If you eat it. You’re the only one eating it. If you make apple pie out of it, maybe you can share it with your family maybe even invite a few of your friends.

But if you sow it, you won’t see it for a few years. You don’t even know if it’s giving you any benefit for the first few months. But as time passes, as the seeds come out, you will start seeing it grow in your life.

After what seems like a long time you will see a tree. And still, after what appears to be a long time will it start giving fruit. Once it does it will keep giving you fruit for eons.

impossible is a word that should probably not exist. beyond the physical or mental capacity of a particular individual is a natural enough reality though.
unknown is a word that honesty would require a great deal more use. a word that precludes nothing, save indebtedness to what we tell each other.

what the apple seed is doing in the ground is almost a good example of this, though of course, with many seeds, and samples taken at different times,
it is possible to know what it is likely to be doing, though really not exactly that particular one seed.

someday soon, if not already, it may be possible to equip earthworms with some sort of sensory equipment that can transmit back to monitoring stations.
i love those kinds of things. even the technology itself is fascinating and inspiring.

Until 1918 the Russians used the Julian calendar which was 10 days behind the Gregorian calendar, thus 'The Great October Socialist Revolution' of 1917, actually occurred (according to the Gregorian calendar) on 7th November - which is why the Russians celebrated 'The Great October Revolution' on the 7th November ever since.

Ships at sea count speed and distance not in miles or kilometres but in Knots - a Knot is equal to 2000 yards. and a cable length is 200 yards.
