    and it hurts your cause badly.

    it's like christianity, I have to deal with people claiming evolution never happened and the world is 4000 years old, you have to deal with, ugh, you know what you have to deal with.

    the only problem is the nature of anarchy makes it much harder for you to counter all that bad PR.

    precisely. and while not a christian, all beliefs face that problem, while having at the fundimental root of their origen the same positive good intention.

    you know the 6000 year thing, if they'd actually read it intelligently, they'd not only find 25,000 years, but that those years refer only to the history of the modern human species. nor is the science of the age of planets the intent, focus and purpose of any system of belief nor its sacred texts.

    if people would just learn to not hurt each other and clean up after themselves, they'd be living up to 90% of the intent of every true belief.
