You know what's annoying?

I'm not really sure either what you're trying to say Krsna.. I know the whole cliché that you should be happy by yourself and not let your happiness be dependent on other people but realistically... when does that ever happen? It's only natural that your feelings are shaped by what other people are feeling around you, how those people are treating you, etc...

Or maybe I completely missed your point which is entirely possible coz I've been studying almost non-stop for the past FOREVER for finals and my brain isn't functioning too well.. :tongue:

 

he's on some spiritual trip, and that's great. but i seriously object to his use of the word selfish to describe one of the few areas where human beings are actually good.

 

Yea, I totally agree. Wanting to share happiness is the opposite of selfish.

 

Kozmic, it is selfish, but only, not in the negative conotation of the word. That is why me and KC were discussing light and dark.
And my spiritual trip is my life, and what I am out to tell people is that happiness come from you, you are directly related to God, I say Lord Krsna, and that alone is the greatest bliss if you choose to tune into it. We are equal and all one, and that is why we dont need the acceptance of others of our happiness in order to experience its full potential, because there is no everyone else, we are all one Believe it or not!

 

yeah, i'm sorry. i still object to the word selfish. i understand the rest of what you're saying here. but selfish is an ugly word.
