You bloody nocturnal people

I actually had an early night last night... 2.30am

 

aww why are you heart broken??

 

Up late again, I don't know why I do it....

 

Isn't it like 3am there?

 

It's about as like 3 am as you can get....

 

I miss being able to stay up that late.

 

What's stopping you?

 

Having to be up at 7am to go to school. I mean I could stay up and try to struggle by on 4 or so hours of sleep, but I'd rather not.
I was always the most creative at night.

 

Yeah same here. I work best at night, whether it's an essay or the novel. Right now I'm working on chapter 12....

 

I always found it the best for writing, I think becuase I was tired, so I would think outside my normal patterns.

What are you writing about right now?

 

I'm characterising a young fundamentalist Muslim who's afraid of hospitals. He's one of the background characters, but important to the overall plot....

Random fact: I am also afraid of hospitals.

 

Here's what I've just written, which also explains why determinism was on my mind when writing in my Karma:

When it comes down to it, no one really likes hospitals. If, as the determinists would have you believe, life is a series of choices, then hospitals are spaces that exist outside of choice. There’s something unnaturally unsettling about that. Most people are born in a hospital. Most will probably die in one too. But where we begin life, where we end life, these are choices rarely afforded us. Well I have been able to overcome my insomnia. I am officially cleared. I think anyone who has the internet at home is bound to stay up. My experience on this forum at 2am. It is very quiet. A few Americans occupy this quiet time but most Brits are in bed.

 

Don't ruin it for me! When will the next ch. be written?
