I'm writing my first ACADEMIC essay in ENGLISH in UNIVERSITY and IT SUCKS.

Blahhhh.

Seriously though, I didn't think it would be this hard. The 412 words I've written so far sound like they were written by a 12 year old. *sigh* I's terrible. Stupid university. Stupid English. Stupid essay. Stupid colonialism. Stupid slavery(If I sound like a 12 year old, I might as well start acting like one ).

will you get marked down or the language barrier be taken into consideration...surely its what you say not how you say it ?

Hehe, yes, I quite agree.

Matt, they will be more sympathetic to international students and it's not such a big deal if I have some grammar and "style" mistakes, but still... It matters to ME. Ahh well.

well you do a better job of the whole english thing, than i do sometimes. And supposedly english is my first language.
