A Yooper is a person that lives in Michigans Upper Peninsula, way up , if you are in Alpena, you didn't go far enough north .. gotta cross the mighty mac :)

No garden, rabbits and deer made me give up. Neighbors don't appreciate me shooting at them. Yard work is 80% completed. Getting ready to dust off the powertools and resume building stuff.

Its hard keeping the critters out. I gave up on my big garden in the back because I'd plant one day and by the next morning all I had were stumps of what use to be plants. Now I just keep a tiny square infront for some cherry tomatoes. I plant marigolds all around them , keeps the rabbits out. I have most of my bulbs in and this weekend I'm going to get some more perinnials in.

I can't garden and there is no snow here! I live in a small town apartment complex where personal gardens are not allowed. It's shitty.

mele, that does suck. i'd have to plant something , even in just a sunny window inside. you can grow cherry tomatoes in a coffee can if you had too.. inside, all you need is one sunny window :)

Yes Perry, you can :) but you gotta start sayin " eh " more often , eh ? !

    Wow RetiredHippie , I love Lizzie !

That Duck Lake fire took out a lot summer cabins and various out buildings.. that's sad , I would hate to lose everything like that , it would overwhelm me. Work hard, skrimp and save for a summer place , look forward to staying there all yr, and bam, gone.
