Cookies are my favorite. My 1st time eating edibles was a cookie. I ate the whole thing. Omg! What an experience that was.

Most people don't. If you don't burn them in properly, they taste like you would expect them to. Done right they are great, though. I used to make them for Pow Wows, Renaissance Festivals , SCA Events, and the like...

    and so...

I learned where the dispensary is; completely by accident I might add... it's by the Navy base.

I think the draw for me is *control* - if I can make myself stoned, then I'm the one "controlling my destiny", right? LOL

If all goes well maybe I can shoot you some seeds once I get some stocked up.

As far as CBD, I hadn't tried it until recently in the form of a 3000mg jar of gummy worms, and while I can't say I was high I was certainly feeling gummy after about 10 of them, worked pretty well for the post-cancer aches and pains that chemo, radiation & immunotherapy tend to bring but 10-15 at a time is not how they expect you to consume them.

Where I grew up we would get desperately ingenious, rolled fatties with dried banana plant leaves, choked till we got transcendental that time...
But the best was cutting fresh bamboo and making bongs with barnacle shells for the bowl.
I used those for maybe a decade before I ever saw one made from glass or plastic (ick).

    Here's a video!

There was a stand of bamboo on the north side of St Thomas we would raid for fresh cutting whenever we wanted. Back then there were also cow pastures with mushrooms that were out of this world, so to speak :) We would harvest a bunch and put them in jars of honey. Then have afternoon tea!

That's not me... but we had a good harvest that morning!!!

    • Oldest evidence of marijuana use discovered in 2500-year-old cemetery in peaks of western China

Today, more than 150 million people regularly smoke cannabis, making it one of the world's most popular recreational drugs. But when and where humans began to appreciate the psychoactive properties of weed has been more a matter of speculation than science. Now, a team led by archaeologists Yang Yimin and Ren Meng of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing reports clear physical evidence that mourners burned cannabis for its intoxicating fumes on a remote mountain plateau in Central Asia some 2500 years ago.

The study, published today in Science Advances, relies on new techniques that enable researchers to identify the chemical signature of the plant and even evaluate its potency. "We are in the midst of a really exciting period," says team member Nicole Boivin of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History (MPI-SHH) in Jena, Germany. The paper is part of a wider effort to track how the drug spread along the nascent Silk Road, on its way to becoming the global intoxicant it is today.

Cannabis, also known as hemp or marijuana, evolved about 28 million years ago on the eastern Tibetan Plateau, according to a pollen study published in May. A close relative of the common hop found in beer, the plant still grows wild across Central Asia. More than 4000 years ago, Chinese farmers began to grow it for oil and for fiber to make rope, clothing, and paper.

I've made pipes with this type of sea shells. Just cut off one end, put a screen in it and voila!
