They're gunna have to virtually rebuild the city of new orleans..
people who evacuated aren't allowed to come back to their homes..
a lot of them don't have homes to come back to...
it may take up to a month for the electricity to get back on in new orleans..
a few of the levees are BUSTED...so lake ponchartrain is basically filling up new orleans
the water is rising in a lot of places




and theres your update on teh aftermath of hurricane katrina..










which is in fact the worse hurricane to hit the usa..
i think..

 

All the beautiful antiques and architecture of that city will be wiped clean.

 

i think that some of the old houses have made it..
i heard that the french quarter is dry..so thats really good



they said that the city of new orleans is gunna be closed for up to a month..

You're wrong. The French Quarter is being looted as we speak, and water in the Quarter is rapidly rising now the levees have been breached.

The governor wants everyone out. There's no safe haven left.

 

well last time i heard, the french quarter was relatively dry...i know the levees are broken..thats what i said ^

the looting has nothing to do with the structure and architecture of the houses..

 

i heard on the radio coming home this guy was watching people break into walgreens and steal food and beer and shit hahaaha :H

The Quarter is now flooding. They're TRYING to stop the breaches in the levee but it looks like the Quarter is soon to be doomed too.

Well... I hate to say it, but I guess that's what they get for putting a city at the bottom of a pit surrounded by bodies of water.

 

they didn't "put" it there. it just sorta happens, ya know. the location was convenient i suppose, cause of the mississippi and such.

 

the pumps are expected to fail.


so the people on the east bank(of the miss. river) of new orleans have about..oh say 13 hours to get the hell out, before they get 9 more feet of water in their homes..
