    has anyone been following this?

Apparently there has been an alarming swarm of earthquakes centered all in the same area and some people are starting to get concerned.

MSM has even picked up on it a bit..... Time has the best article I've read....

While they really don't think its going to erupt any time soon, I have to wonder if they would even tell anyone it was going to erupt? Where would they evacuate people to? Because if this place blows, the entire globe will be affected.

Yup. There isn't much else to say. Prepare all you want, but surviving the nuclear winter which will occur pretty much globally for several years after will kill off those who don't die in the blast, or from suffocating from the concrete-like ash building up in their lungs.

    :cheers2: I'm hungry now

as with all catastrophes through history some will survive..

from what i understand the southern hemisphere is your best bet..i personally nelieve it would be luck of the draw and even in the northern hemisphere some would survive..

South America has always been a dream of mine.

But if I get this underground house done in enough time, I'll be able to survive, sun or no sun. I'm far enough away I only have to worry about ash and nuclear winter.

Now what the hell did I do with my shovel. I got a LOT of digging to do

It's really no use looking at warning signs for Yellowstone. The entire place is one big warning sign. If dependency was a currency, this bastard would be devaluating at a rate that made zim-fucking-babwe seem like a good and solid economy. What it is thought is currently happening is that Yellowstone is cooling down - possibly to blow like the arse of man who's eaten a curry in Delhi, but that'll be a few millenia hence. We've never seen a landbased super volcano at the end of its cycle before, so it's not unreasonable for there to be the place to be shakier than a parkinson-patient on a redbull IV who's just gone cold turkey on methamphetamine.

Of course, the entire place could blow like a Thai-hooker tomorrow, and we wouldn't really know.

oddly enough, this event would fit the web-bots prediction that didn't come true last month.

    the language is quite similar

    What if....

We took all the icebergs that are currently melting and transported them to Yellowstone, creating a huge lake. Then, when it erupts, maybe the water will help to take most of the dust and shit out of the air, leaving a gigantic swamp, yellowstone swamp.

It's better than a global cataclysm, and we could use it to make a natural home for hippos and alligators.
