I've had tons of these in the past but this doesn't seem like one--- it itches and burns right around my vagina, a lot, and its really dry on the outside, but I don't have any of the other symptoms of a yeast infection. I don't have discharge, it doesn't itch [inside] etc.

Could this POSSIBLY be an allergic reaction to spermicide?

The polyurethane condoms we were using did not have spermicide on them before, and I didn't ever notice an allergic reaction to spermicide in the past, but it seems since we started using these new polys with spermicide that this happened.

I have noticed that after sex using the polyurethane condoms with the spermicide on them, that it burns a little when I pee immediately after sex---but usually not any longer than right after. I have been tested for all STDs just recently, and I am still with the same guy.

And, I have never had a burning sensation when I pee after sex in the past until these new condoms.

    ???

LOL---yes this is one of those times, that I wish I was too.

Normally I am pleased with being a woman, but these certain instances make me pissed at being born female.

To me it sounds like you have an UTI. Is it painful when you pee? If it's not really painful, then i would say it's an allergic reaction. I get these all the time. It sucks being so sensitive.

Its not painful except immediately after sex, it burns.... right after we use those condoms.

Now, it just itches on both sides around my vagina, and it feels a little burny.

But it doesnt burn when I pee except immediately after sex...

Are you positive your guy hasn't cheated on you?
If you are, and you're sure he hasn't just recently given you an STD....

It may be the spermicide. Maybe stop using that for a week and see if it gets better.

    No new soaps or lotions---
And I'm positive he hasn't cheated on me, when he's not at work he's with me, we live together.

The only thing different is the spermicide... the last time I used spermicide, before recently was when I was like 16.... so I dont know?

The last time I was tested for STDs was only like a week or two ago, so... unlikely anyway.

Spermicide often causes yeast infections with me, particularly if they use that nonoxynol9 crap with it. I mean, yes, it san effective spermicide but it can seriouslys crew up the balance inside for a lot of chciks.

to think about it again, every time I use condoms that have spermicide on them sex hurts and i itch. i believe you may have a yeast infection or you're very close to developing one.

i would guess it's the spermicide. I had a similiar reaction. It was like an internal burn that was worse when I peed after sex. Most yeast infections cause heavy, curdy disharge and patches of inflammation and discharge all over the inside of the vagina. if the problem is localized like you say, it is probably the spermicide. I would swith condoms and if it keeps up it could even be a latex allergy. which can develop at any time.

Not latex allergy, because I already know I'm allergic to latex, and I use polyurethane. ;)

There is no discharge or anything like that...

It went away a couple days after posting this and a few days ago when my hunny and I had sex and used those condoms again, it happened again, so I am pretty certain its the spermicide.

After the last couple that are left ,I will switch back. But I don't feel like wasting them, lol.

I experienced similar reaction to spermicide. To me, it kinda felt like an itchy sunburn on my vulva. Try something else, I would throw out the condoms that irritate you.

Yep, get unlubricated poly condoms if you can find them, and a really nice lube to add yourselves
