lice on me too. my locks are 4.5 years old. my man has em too; his are older. we're both sittin here soakin our heads in a mixture of tea tree oil, vinegar, and peppermint oil. tomorrow i guess i'll go buy stuff from the store. we do not have intentions of cutting our locks. i read many good ideas from that other thread; if you've got any MORE, or (positive?) experiences, feel free to share!

make sure yer honest with yer buddies and tell em you've got bugz!! gonna have to hang low until yer in the clear. i caught my lil infestation realllly early and killed it off with a monster dosage of super concentrated salt water and cayene pepper. my theory was, you put salt on the carpet when yer killing flea eggs(it dehydrates the egg) so why not dehydrate the lice eggs on the shafts of yer hair... and cayene is a natural deterant to most bugs. another friend of mine added witch hazel to the combo. good luck!!!!!!!

i've been lucky & never had em, but vinagar dissolves the egg casings. & i think sulpher powder kills the bugs
tea tree does nothing to get rid of em, but may prevent u from getting em..

    i think pennyroyal also

1 thing tho, u gotta be sure u wash all your clothes..sheets..furniture fabdric as well.. i think theres sprays u can use for furniture & carpets n stuff
ohh just thinkin bout em is makin me itchy..lol
    good luck

Dont eva cutem . I hear alot of you people speaking about how you can never get rid of bugs. That is crazy to think that they can NOT be gotten rid of. I say listen to eagle. Viniger for the nits the egg and I say alcahol for the live bugs they cant stand the fumes. Also I would suggest tea tree oil for keeping them away.
Oh for the alcOhol just soak a rag and your hair in alachol then wrap it with a plactic bag get rubber bands or hemp string, and soak every day for as long as it takes. For like 4 hours. BYe Bye Bugs.
YOU DONT HAVE TO CUT YOUR HAIR EVA.
    UNLESS YOU WANNA.
    jAH lIGHT!!
