I heard video game testing gets old really fast.

you gotta play the same spot over and over again looking for every contingency possible in the game to make sure there aint no bugs. thumb blisters, stiff neck, eye problems.

    stick with the software company

this is for programming games, not testing them
and im sure testing video games is no more monotonous than testing any other peice of software

i dont know, if youre testing microsoft excel, then you just click on stuff, each scenario is able to be achieved when you want it.

on a video game, you need to see if it works when you jump onto a certain thing, you could miss your jump a couple times and have to go back and do a bunch of shit all over again...

I have a friend who sits and plays video games from the time he wakes uo to the time he goes to bed. He'd be good at testing the games.

nope, i just write code. i wish i could do that though. ive looked into it before, its pretty fascinating stuff.

ya, i used to do that too, which is probly part of what got me into computers. luckily i was able to control this addiction when i needed too. ive seen friends drop out of school because all theyd do is get high and play video games all day.

and if youre intrested, my interview this morning went well. they said theyd move me to the states free, get me a visa, and even give me free training before they help me get a job. the only question now is whether i really wanna go

Awesome. I use HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, and Javascript for work. I've also worked with VB... piss on VB, I hated it.

    Yeah, design is right.

I'm sure I didn't like VB because I'm a designer and not a programmer. I had to take VB & GUI for my degree.
