it ain't life, its the conditions under which you live it. every arbitraryness of policy creates that suckyness of conditions and every idiology and economic theory contributes to the arbitraryness of policy with no exceptions.

the statistical consensus of how everyone lives creates those conditions too. that's why it makes sense to try and understand what ways of life create what kinds of world to have to live in and attempt to live in such way that if everyone did so it would create the kind of world you really would prefer to live in.

of course tyrannies, even it the guise of democracies, seldom let us entirely do so.
but in many ways most people don't seem to realise, in many nonconfrontational ways, we can.

That sucks.. I hate tow truck driver what assholes they make a living off stealing peoples cars and holding them for ransom.
I used to go to labor ready when I was on the road and desperate for gas money. It wasn’t much fun I usually ended up digging ditches all day for almost nothing. It would buy a little food and a tank of gas, enough to get down the road.

Damn times must be tough out there. My first job in 1985 paid me more than $40.00 a day plus and I was in school still. Is it really that fucked up out there?

YOu could make more than that doing odd things for your own like ebay sales, detail cars, house cleaning ect with little start up cash.

I charge almost that per hour and get paid mostly in cash so I dont have to claim it on taxes (you all aint IRS agents are ya?)

Sounds like you all dont need to depend on a job for income, look at making your own. The whole $56.00 a day is really not the issue but rather how many hours a day they make you work to clear that amount. Take in commute time ect that adds up. Standing in line waiting ect you might be talking 10 hours a day you invested to make that $56.00 and thats what $5.60 an hour, I hope that is after taxes, if not really I know your all able to forge your way into a better situation thru making your own employment.

It's gotta be a balance of good and bad, as the OP said. The worst times may get means the better good times are.
