How long does the effects from Xanax last? I know oxys effects can last anywhere from 3-6 hours, sniffing or swallowing. Anybody with insight?
Why do people keep posting xanax threads in the opiate forum? lol Anyway, the effects can last anywhere from a few hours to the whole day. It really depends on how many milligrams you take.
In my experience, .5mg doesn't do anything anyway, so "duration" is irrelevant, at that dose. Threshold dose for me, which is about 2-3mg, usually lasts about 3-5 hours though, give or take.

Of the benzos, Xanax has a very short half life (i think about 4-6 hours). This generally means that you will have more of a rush, but that this will be shorter than other benzos and you'll sober up quicker. However, it's more intense. Generally, if you are younger, your body will metabolize the drug quicker and you'll probably be on the shorter side of the half-life range.
