wtf's so great about radiohead??

fucking everybody suggests them on soulseek, so I downloaded The Bends... and wow... they could possibly be worse than Phish.

i dont know, they have a few ok songs but they annoy me slightly

 

Yeah, that annoyance factor was out of this world when I turned them on.

listin to "OK computer", a much better album, or even "Hail to the Thief". Their songs are just really dark, I guess you just have to like dark music

 

i love radiohead, i used to listen to the as i fell asleep....

 

They're good I guess, but I've never understood what all the hype is about.

I use to not think much of radiohead...but after hearing O.K.Computer, i suddenly seemed to see them in a new light, and now i listen to a good amount of radiohead.

The bends was an alright album, but everything after that is much better. Perhaps if you listen to another albums of theirs you will get a better feel for them.

 

oh no, radiohead's amazing... maybe not for everyone; i love how abstract and hypnotic their music is. i absolutely think they deserve the attention they get; ok computer was a masterpiece.

I love radiohead, but it always takes me a while to get into their records. I remember hating pretty much every album the first few times I heard it, and then they all grew on me. Live, they're one of the best bands I've ever seen.

 

You either love em or hate them. i dont get what all the hypes about its just a bunch of boring weird noise and tom york is really ugly, so its not like the film clips can make up for the terrible boring noise that is radiohead!

 

Give Creep a listen; man, I thought you were fairly similar to me, but I guess you aren't... Radiohead is a good band.

 

You really think phish sucks? Take a listen to a sick mike's song-> i am hydrogen man. The funk at like a few minutes into mike's song, depending on how jammed out it is, is so filthy. 8/10/04 was a good recent one ;-)

 

I think radiohead is as overrated as oasis.. I only like creep..

 

The Bends and Pablo Honey are mainly their non-electronic stuff. I love those albums, although a person who isn't into them to begin with, should listen to O.K. Computer and forward. These albums are just great, "I'm really stoned, and this sounds amazing" music. They're actually a pretty deep band, but I don't listen to them for that.

 

the bends and ok computer are on opposite sides of the spectrum. if you like acoustic and alternative songs, you should like the bends, and if you like a theme orientated album, a bit experimental and somewhat progressive, you should like OK computer.

 

i also cant stand radiohead, i find them to be a very annoying band to listen to for more than 10 minutes. but they arent worse than phish, cause phish is just amazing.

 

hmm.. well, i can see what you are saying. a few of their songs might be a little over rated.. but the song "no surprises" used to and i guess still is my lullaby for those ngihts when i cry myself to sleep.
