Yup, as well as smoking cigarettes and drinking to the point where your brain doesn't function normaly.
true... though he also (supposedly) created all the poisonous things in the world as well. but hey, he (supposedly) already knows what we're going to do, if we smoke pot or not, if we're going to eternal hellfire or not, so really... what's it all matter? I'm gonna go have a cigarette... grr..
mental bondage is kind of a twosided thing really.. while some people follow so blindly that it is bonding, many find quite a lot of spiritial release and mental enlightenment from religion. im atheist so im not just sticking up for my belief here, im just not antireligion. also the term playing the faith card is quite stupid. im sure you have faith in many things.. i could always say your belief that youre body functions are going to work properly is irrational.. or something.. faith is what it is, theres nothing wrong with it. many people go about religion the wrong way but theres nothing wrong about having faith in something.
and to looloo.. the freewill thing like include said.. aparently god created things that werent right in his eyes.. im guessing to try to show who are sinners or something.. like the garden of eden story.. i dunno im not christian and also i just found out what agnostic means so me saying im an atheist isnt entirely true i guess, could be more agnostic inclined.. i gotta learn more
Used not abused. I have hear it makes good rope to but God does not want us to hang ourselves with it.
Your right God already knows who will make the choice to burn in Hell. And what is your choice going to be?
How can a choice be made if the outcome is already known? That is the illusion of choice, not real choice. As to the topic, since I don't believe in God it's a moot point, but in my world balance is critical. Use, don't abuse, and know when youre getting attached to it. Don't become a slave to anything: a drug, a food, a tv show, a person, even your own mind.
We know what is right and wrong. God teaches us that. It's wrong. Why even take the chance of going to hell. And I don't buy the whole idea of, well why did God put it on earth then. He also created guns, but you don't go around killing people. God created a lot of plants, it was man's evil that it is being smoked.
There's a path you will take in life. You will make choices that lead you to an ultimate end (in this life). This will happen regardless of whether or not someone foreknows that path. Say in your freezer right now you have strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream. Also say I have the ability to see one hour into the future. As I look into the future, I see that you're going to eat some strawberry ice cream. Now, did I in someway cause you to eat the strawberry and not the chocolate or vanilla ice cream? Would your outcome have somehow been any difference had I not had my one-hour foreknowledge? No, I'm only seeing what you will choose, and what you will choose will remain the same regardless of what I know.
There is no verse in the bible that specifically states that it is wrong to smoke pot. It is all up to interpretation. For example, the church/school I went to said it was wrong for women to wear pants. I understand that the bible says your body is the temple of god, and basicly to treat it as such, but things as simple as breathing the air (especially here in Texas) is damaging to the body. So are many prescription drugs, fast food, etc... So this is basically open to the interpretation of the individual. But someone who eats fast food a few times a week shouldn't complain about the pot smoker, especially using that biblical reference. Now, I'm not christian, and I hate to give ammo to feed your fire, but a more appropriate reason for why pot smoking would be a sin is the fact that Christ orders christians to obey their gov't (give unto caesar which is caesar's...), and our gov't, well here in the US, has made pot illegal.
if that is the case, i imagine you don't drive a car as this pollutes the car and destroys the ecosystem which thusly endangers our health and the electricity that drives your computer is from solar cells or wind power as fossil fuel derived elctricity is as polluting the air and therefore our lungs and the food you eat are organically derived
Exactly.... "God created it", is often an argument. I have poisonous berries on the side of my house. God created them, so what's your point?
