writing without attachment

So I met this guy and we hit it off right away on playstation home. For me it was the feeling of falling in love. I just let myself feel wonderful with this guy and I could feel how wonderful I made him feel too. I found out that he was a kick boxer who had recently had a bad auto accident and now has pins and a plate in his leg which will stop him from doing what he does best to make his living. It seems I am attracted to guys who are hurting and am able to heal them, at least mentally for awhile. Anyway it was really nice until the other day when he was distracted and had to leave me to see another girl on playstation home. I started coming down from my high and figured I would crash like I usually do when I let myself fall in love in this virtual world.
But this time it was different. A guy who I have been in virtual contact with for over a year showed up and told me how sorry he was for getting me upset the last time we were together. He was being mean to one of my other male friends, probably because he was jealous, and I asked him to be nice but he said no, so I left him. Now he regretted being such a jerk because he felt really bad knowing I was upset with him. It was at that point that I understood how much he cared for me and he really did ease the pain of my recent feeling of being betrayed..
The guy who left me for another girl showed up, probably because she was just playing around with him, and wanted to pick up where we left off. But my friend for over a year, who actually cared about me, was there and he went out of his way to be nice to my ex-lover. I felt very touched that he would do that for me and told him so, which made him feel wonderful. Maybe this is what love is really about.

Meanwhile in another time and place, death is harvesting another victim. But for some unknown reason this young woman is giving him a problem. He checks his records and finds she is not physically attached to the material world and should be undone from her life with little effort on his part.



“You must be the one everybody is afraid of, called death.” Angela says as death reaches out to harvest her. “Come in and sit down, make yourself at home dear friend.”



Death is a little taken aback by this warm welcome and is compelled to ask, “Aren’t you afraid my sweet child? Your still young and have a long beautiful life in front of you and I have the power to end it all here and now.”



“You have no power over me death, for you are an illusion just like the long and beautiful life you say you have the power to take from me. I only have the present and I will still have that even if you take my body. I am a child of God and you can’t take anyone without His consent.” Angela challenged.



“But Angela dear, you have no ties to this cold and lonely physical plane, I can take you to your Father and He will reward His obedient loving child.”



“Yes the world can be cold and lonely but I have been put here for a reason and must hold on to this body in order to fulfill my destiny. It’s through the trials of the body that the most spiritual progress can be made. So death, either make yourself at home here and wait for your chance to relieve me of this burden called physical existence or go find someone else to harvest.” Angela declared.



Well death didn’t know what to do. He had never failed in his mission before and didn’t feel it was proper to move on and leave a soul behind that was his responsibility to harvest. So death decided to hang out with Angela and see what developed.

 

I think you need to get out of the house more often!

 

I do get out of the house very often, that's where I find my ideas, lol

 

The intellect will always take you to the edge of the cliff. Then it will tell you about gravity and how you will be smashed on the rocks below. But faith will tell you you can fly to the other side and be free.

On another occasion Babaji's sacred circle was disturbed by the arrival of a stranger. He had climbed with astonishing skill to the nearly inaccessible ledge near the camp of the master.

"'Sir, you must be the great Babaji.' The man's face was lit with inexpressible reverence. 'For months I have pursued a ceaseless search for you among these forbidding crags. I implore you to accept me as a disciple.'

"'If you refuse me, I will jump from this mountain. Life has no further value if I cannot win your guidance to the Divine.'

"'Jump then,' Babaji said unemotionally. 'I cannot accept you in your present state of development.'

"The man immediately hurled himself over the cliff. Babaji instructed the shocked disciples to fetch the stranger's body. When they returned with the mangled form, the master placed his divine hand on the dead man. Lo! he opened his eyes and prostrated himself humbly before the omnipotent one.

"'You are now ready for discipleship.' Babaji beamed lovingly on his resurrected chela. 'You have courageously passed a difficult test. Death shall not touch you again; now you are one of our immortal flock.' Then he spoke his usual words of departure, 'Dera danda uthao'; the whole group vanished from the mountain

 

Can someone pass the bowl this way....wow.

If you think 'love' is something you found playing an online game, that's fine. Perhaps that is what love means to you.
but....
I tend to agree with drumminmama about needing the physical presence to really 'know' someone. Behind the safety of a monitor and keyboard people can be anything they want...not so true in real life. I have loved someone online, and came to the conclusion I loved the person he showed me, which wasn't necessarily who he was. It wasn't....

 

Well dear, I can tell a lot about you from this virtual reply. I can tell that you don't try to hide who you are and I can tell it would be difficult for us to find common ground. But keep on keeping on.

 

You know nothing about me based on my response I didn't criticize your belief in love...I just don't agree with it...and I don't have to...so no, we aren't likely to have a common ground...which is also okay. Diversity in people is what makes the world interesting...if we were all the same it would get boring.

As for the random creative writing. I believe there is a forum on Hip somewhere for you to express yourself in that way. In the relationships thread it is just a bit odd.

 

so are you saying you are lying in this post? because you most definitely can tell something about you if you are not...but you can say you are not lying and actually still be lying which i think was kind of your point.
