^^^i found this a couple years ago, and wrote myself an email. then i did it again the next year..but i didn't continue the tradition. pretty cool
yeah, we had to write them as high school freshmen and got them back as seniors. when i read it, i didn't know what the hell i was even talking about.
I like the idea of them being taken away and given back. We were just told to keep them and remember to look back on them from time to time. I remember being rather annoyed that I hadn't achieved some of what I said I would have by that time.
I am going to write myself a letter... Mainly because I want to remind myself not to be like myself that I am at the moment...
I tried that letter to future self but it was returned stamped Recipient Deceased. Thats what I get for waiting till old age to write it. Think I'll try one to "Dear Reincarnated Self". Hope I come back as something that can read.
why? i'm no good at writing letters and my future self knows perfectly well what i'm thinking now, just as my present self knows how i felt every day month year and decade of my past in this life, back to my birth and beyond. i could tell my future self how lucky i'll be then, but i won't know that until it is my current self that is there. which is itself somewhat less then certain. the age i am now and verious realities of today's world.
