This will only have meaning to those of you that know who he is, but I recently found out that my grandpa, when alive, personally knew Terrence McKenna. Effing awesome. They tripped together and such.
My grandad was an important figure of the maori community in sydney.. i think that got him ripping a few with BOB MARLEY. i have no proof but is word.. it bloody well better be true. Dont see whyd he lie about such an awesome thing... maybe i should like investigate and get proof and post it. actually i will.
my g-ma met abbie hoffman once. which is like.. the ultimate to me. well that or meeting Jerry. of course.
I don't know how my Grandpa knew him, other than they had probably tripped together. In Terrence's book "True Hallucinations" there is a note in the front: "To Richard - Our best trick for a fellow explorer ~Terrence McKenna" I also found his meeting (and tripping) with McKenna in his journal. It's pretty awesome.
