I was just doing some research on music and what makes it popular...but, I have to disagree. They divided a group of 100 individuals into two groups of fifty...the first group was listening to mainstream music and were able to listen and compare notes with each other about a particular song; this group tended to center almost completely around one song and say it was their favorite; the second group was not able to communicate with anyone, and each and all had different favorites among underground musicians...go figure; i guess it just goes to show that most people tend to want to follow a trend...:D

Seriously, bandwagons are strange. I always wondered what people would dress and act like if we were all truly segmented. That would be such an interesting study among teens alone.

    So we got

Group1 the mainstrem and Group2 the Underground

Group1=Same direction in music, nothing new becasue everyone likes the same thing
Group2=No one likes the same thing so the progression of music can go all sorts of ways...The they becom mainstream and it starts all over again!

    right..I think..

Studies show that, in groups, people are willing to be submissive. So, whoever has the most leadership talent ultimately steps forward, or the choice is democratic, but in a group, a consensus feels necessary. People will repeatedly follow the group agreement, even if they disagree; in fact, it is even possible for the majority of a group to disagree with the consensus decision.

Multiple studies have shown that if a subject is placed in a situation where they believe another person is in danger, they are much less likely to help if someone else is available to help. (i.e. if the subject believes they are not alone in viewing a dangerous situation, they are more likely to do nothing)

Bystander effect. Sad but true. And we fought so hard for freedom. (SUCK IT BRITAIN! ;) )

Well, I would be the odd ball out then; I couldn't stand around watching someone get hurt no matter how many people were around....
