Wow, my mom completly screwed me over.

So on saterday I had a friend over and me and him where making bottle bongs in the basement because we had nothing better to smoke out of. And im coming upstairs(out of my basement) and my mom is just sitting there waiting for me to come up. And I have the bottle in my hand and she is like, "what is that? And I said its just a submarine for a school project. That night I wanted to get high really badly so i kept on checking if she was sleeping and it looked like she was at about 2 in the morning, so I went in the garage(just by myself my friend was just about sleeping) and she heard me coughing and she came downstairs. So I hear her coming and I ditch the bottle take whatever was left in the bowl(I only had like four hits, so I had like a whole bowl left) and go confront her. She was all like,"whats that smell, I was like I was had a ciggarte hoping I wouldn't get into as much trouble but still knowing that cigs smell nothing alike. Then she cried abotu it and shit but that was saterday. Then on monday Im sitting in class and the dean of students tells me to go talk to him, so I am heading to his office and he is sitting on a corner so I follow him into a room, where my mom is crying and I was like, what happned? And she had brought the bottle which I put outside and she found it to school....I was like wow, wtf. So I get a drug pharapelia thing for that. Then I got searched, They found nothing, they took out my wallet and I had a dime in one of my wallet pockets, but they didn't look in the wallet. So I had to talk to a cop and shit but I got out alright. But then I told one of my friends and she went and told someone else and so on. Then at 230 I get called down to get searched again, because Im guessing someone told the dean of students about it to get 50 dollars that the school gives out for Narcs. So they find the dime and now I got a counsler, 293 dollar fine, I am in like a home detention thing and I got suspended for a week and I am waiting for a meeting on monday to see if I can come back to the school, I could be expelled for my whole high school carrer. So thats my story and its pretty damn fucked up.

 

Lol, I aucutally just grabbed my dad but it still went in for DC, hes an asshole and on a friday night comes looking for me in a car at 430, thats just really gay as hell.

 

The first thing I'm going to say is that it sucks about the whole being caught thing. Your mom did kind of over react.

What in the hell were you doing out at 4:30 in the first place? You pull shit like that, HIT your father and then expect your parents to sympathize with you?! What is wrong with you?

If you want your parents to trust you then you've got to play by their rules, whether you like it or not. I bet they were worried about you. Your dad wouldn't have gone looking for you if he didn't care for your well being, you stuck-up brat.

 

Oh, sorry I didn't explain it right, I was walking around at 430 becasue I was going to go to a friends house and they freek out about it.

 

... Then you obviously didn't have their permission to go there. And if you did, I guess you didn't really explain that you were walking. All presumptions on my behalf, but seriously man... It would probably cause a lot less problems if next time you just asked your dad for a ride or waiting until a better time to go see your friends.

'Cause brother, friends come and go but you're always gonna have your family. That's a really important bond and you're putting a lot of strain on it right now.

You'll probably make it through the whole mother-is-a-weed-nazi bit without any horrible, horrendous difficulty. But the whole DC thing about 'hitting' your dad is going to really infringe your everyday 'benefits.' Y'know, like actually going to friends' houses.

Aside from that part, it doesn't matter thats not the point of this im just sharing my experince and shit...and there is alot more history behind the me and my dad thing, notice I took that out.

Ahhh IDK how old you are but it sounds like your mother doesn't know much about parenting. Why would she choose to bring something into the school picture that was outside of school. It's her responsibility to handle it, wtf. That just exacerbates the problem.

 

Thank you, I agree my mom is the biggest dumbass I have ever meet and before talking to me about it or even getting me piss tested first she gets me searched and fucked over. So if you think she is a dumbass don't feel bad...she really is a paranoid bitch.

have you ever heard the phrase "in loco parentis"? because if you haven't, you need to learn about it. the schools raise our children the same as the parents do, and while the rights of a school to "raise" a kid as they see fit are a lot less leniant than the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit, what the schools do in this regard is entirely legal and well within their rights.

stupid, yes....irritating, yes....but not outside of the school's rights, either legally or ethically. schools are a place of education as well as socialization (which does not mean chatting with your friends in this context) and like it or not there are certain rules our society has deemed necessary to function smoothly. while many people question some of these rules, and while i believe many of them are misguided and unreasonable, such as making marijuana or any other drug illegal, the educational institutions have every right to stick by them, and in fact they are ethically obligated to do so in the majority of cases.

after all, the school in this case is punishing him for breaking a LAW, not violating a norm.

But seriously, the simple fact that marijuana is illegal is bullshit. This anti-marijuana ideal is harming far more lives then its saving, because parents and schools alike see it as some super addictive death drug, that sends people down a spiral of violence and crime.

What is worse? A student uses marijuana, stays in school, gets good grades, then goes on to become something, or a student who uses marijuana, gets expelled for it, then moves onto harder drugs and never accomplishes anything in life?

Ive seen both of these, many times. Over reacting and punishing for weed hurts a students education far more then the use of it.
