Child porn if you knew that having it available would keep ALL pedophiles off the streets and end the sexual molesting of children? (hypothetically, ofcourse).
So you would rather have perverts out there raping little kids than just have child porn legalized eliminating all actually acts of perversion, and only leaving thoughts? I just find this debate fascinating. People seem to have such an extremely strong moral stand against this... no matter what religion, creed, whatever... everyone kind of just agrees on this. So... yet again, I wonder... if it was possible... would you legalize child porn in exchange of stopping child-sex crimes?
Just viewing the photos is a sense of rape in it's self for the child, since someone had to make up the pictures. We are only born with one innocence, why have it be thrown away at such a young & tender age? Obviously the poster acknowledges the majority position of replies that will be commented on through this subject, I think someone is in need of some post count attention.
I see a few others see my point I'm sorry I didn't clarify in order to make child porn legal you have to create CHILD porn what about the children who are used to make the porn... aren't they being raped... you didn't say hypothetically just pictures altho.. even if you were trying to exclude actual sexual intercourse the act of taking pornographic pictures of a child is indeed raping them of their innocents so NO I would not .... not even hypothetically agree that legalized child porn would be ok.. not even if it absolutely guaranteed that no child would be abused... that seems like an oxymoron
ure, if it actually did that. but molestation is about control. legalization of kiddy porn would not end pedophilia; in fact it might provoke it
If it was GUARANTEED that no pedofile would ever hurt a child again? Sure? EXCEPT wouldn't there still be children being abused to MAKE the porn? Therefore, No. Opps... did not read past the first post.
Making child porn legal isn't going to wipe out all acts of pedophilia raping or even a significant amount of it. Taking the chance of making it legal just to see if it would in fact control these "acts of perversion" doesn't make much sense to me.
And isn't there an assumption here that the pedophiles solely wish to passively watch acts of sexually explicit children rather than actively pursing them?
Strange question indeed. It won't in real life, this is why it's hypothetical... it's more of a moral question. ... interesting responses too, people seem to put the same amount of emphasis on acts of pedophelia and on child porn photography. (I must elaborate... I don't mean like child hardcore porn (ewww)... I mean like, just sexual pictures of children (I felt a tad odd typing that)... )
it's one of those things that you can't fool a child with. you just can't. and as they get older, they'll KNOW they were used for someone else's sexual satisfaction at a time when they're supposed to be untouchable. those things never ever go away. you might learn to live with it, but you'll know you were used.
Ha, ya well...awkward topic. I think there is a line between those who simply get off by looking at child porn and those who take it beyond fantasy and have the impulse to carry out whatever they look at. They are both fucked, but to a slightly different degree. Legal child porn or not, those who want to act of their desires will do it regardless.
The whole fun is the awkward topic. ...and yet again Alex, you are missing the point... the thread is suggesting that the legalization of child porn will completely eliminate pedos acting on their desires. Plus, wouldn't you think that the child porn market would still be very small? I don't think that there are many pedos out there, and honestly... in my opinion acting on pedophilia is completely wrong... but no one can really say that pedophilia isn't natural... it's just like saying that homosexuality isn't natural. I wonder if pedophilia would become much more visible and if millions of people will come out of their pedo-closets if pedophilia was more socially accepted.
