Would you let someone cut in front of you at the grocery if they only had 2 items?

and you had 30 items and you were in a rush..

 

I wouldn't be buying 30 things at the grocery store if I were in a rush.

depends on the person, if they had a crapload of kids, and were obviously needing to get out of there, yes. if i had a crapload of kids and it was an old couple who obviously had nothing more to do for the day than the big trip to walmart, then no.

i want to say yes, but it would depend on what i was in a rush for...oddly enough one of my pet peeves is being late. but if it wasnt that huge of a deal maybe...ahh i suck at what if questions cuz they all depend on the situation :/

 

indeed. thats what i put. it really depends on whats going on, if your late for work or appt, or if you got time to kill, etc,.

 

yes... and I have.. I know, I know I can be nice at times... Though usually I tell them since they have two items there's the U-scan there they can do it themselves but usually I let them go ahead of me...
But pfft, I don't go grocery shopping, I get my stuff in dumpsters...

true story: a couple years ago we were in line and the guy behind us only had a case of beer,so we let him in front of us,thats when we became uncomfortable with our decision. the guy had a patch on the arm of his jacket that read "white pride world wide"..

so we didnt think anything else about it after dilli and i and the check out clerk(who is gay BTW) kinda laughed it off..
a few months later we went to protest at a KKK rally and low and behold whos up there on the stage with his dunce cap and robe?? you guessed it the guy we let in front of us.. he proceeded to taunt us and attempt to make a example of everything he thought was wrong with the white folks in todays society out of us..

i dont think he even remembered us letting him cut in front of us.then a couple months after that we saw him in the laundry mat and he kept glaring at us with hate in his eyes..

kinda fucked up to think that we showed him a random act of kindness and not once but twice he spewed hatred towards us..

i don't do kindness necessarily for other people. i do it because it seems the right thing to do and a good example for my daughters.

 

whatever the reason its still in essence a act of kindness..
