I see nothing wrong with it. speaking for our self, our appetite for sex has diminished with age. Both late 60s and neither have the urge we used to. I miss my rock hard erections, but she likes plenty of lube when we do have sex, still 1or 2 times a week. Still spent lots of time cuddling.
Jimandjan, We are in our sixties as well. This friend has not ask, but he does share his private thoughts of being sexless for a long time. My wife would do this as a act of respect and friendship for him.

Yes, that is another subject that we are presently working on. We are moving slow as well. Luckily, we still have a very good sex life together, 3-4 weekly. We are fit and healthy. My wife is old school and understands what a man needs and provides it to me. Most of the time we have sex for our health. She knows in order to keep my prostate healthy it has to remain active.
I certainly would and if my spouse was still able to have sex I would encourage her to do the same. I'm like Jack's friend as my spouse cannot have sex anymore. When my wife was pregnant she had problems the doctor took her out of work , nothing strenuous = no sex I was offered her bff , my wife said it would be helping her as well , her husband was having ED problems . I was a good guy and turned down the offer, after the baby was born and our sex life was returned , my wife told me she was very happy that I didn’t except the offer
