Would a ban on all public religious representations and displays ease religious hatreds and violence

No, it's not "public religious representations and displays" that cause "religious hatreds and violence".

OK but putting a ban on all public religious representations and displays just isn't going to do it.

Some say that it is this very governmental interference in religion that is a sign of the end times.

This sounds pretty much like your personal opinion and not the general secular population's opinion.

Why yes, Jesus did say that but that is not all that he said. He also said that the good news of God's Kingdom should be preached in all the earth, kind of hard to do hiding in a closet.

I don't see the "secular world" following Jesus' advice to preach the good news of God's Kingdom. If we are to follow Jesus' teaching we should do all of what he asked us to do and just some of it.

There's my thoughts on having the nonreligious "secular world" decide for us how to worship God.

 

Neither secular academia nor religion seems capable of stopping themselves from killing each other and destroying the entire planet. So getting rid of one or the other may only hasten the process. The Pentagon is having a sale on cruise missiles that have been blessed by Christians everywhere, while they plan to save the ecology right after they build up the military to equal the next sixteen in the world combined. Its just good business sense.
