Hey guys, I started again like a month ago. First made braids. Then backcombed/twist-ripped. And this is now.
Great pics! My hair is a bit shorter than yours and curly. I really want dreads but never thought about starting out with braids! Great idea! That would give me a taste of what dreads would be like without putting too much stress on my hair, right? I keep telling my husband that I am going to dread my hair but he thinks I'm joking... Did you do it all yourself?
You got some looong hairs! Bet they gonna turn out badass. I got my hair braided in Mexico once. I liked it. About half the way through I had the sudden urge to sing that "come on and braid my hair" line from that R. Kelly song. I thought it was funny at the time, the hair braider lady did not. I don't think she could understand me though.
Your original dreadies were my favorite in the world, glad to see you got them again.. I loved that one youtube video with clapton playing you did back in the day... such inspiration good luck on your new journey.
Im confused...did you twist and rip with the braids? Or did you just braid to section each one off and then twist and rip each section? If I dread again I want mine to be more uniformed this time around. I love yours!!!! They're so dready looking already but also very clean and seperated.
