World peace?

Just wondering? does anybody really think that world peace can ever be achieved?

 

i thought you were talking about the poster woldpeace when I saw the title,but answer to your question...
As long as humans are living on this world ,I dont belive we will ever have world peace

I agree with the "no" sentiment. Too many conflicting agendas... for there to be peace on earth, man must first be eliminated. If by magical happenstance a straight and convenient path to peace becomes available, the squabbling over who would be getting credit for the grandiose achievement would almost certainly lead to war.

 

I never said I like war now did I? All I meant was it'd be boring if everyone walked around going "oh, what a glorious day, hello brothers and sisters." And there was never any antagonists.

PS- You don't "join up" for war, you join the military.

in my opinion if America could just quit being nosey and stop trying to turn the world into one big America we would be fine. I mean hell i live in america and disagree with 90% of what they do towards other countries. The way I see it though is that the world is an over sized high school you've got all the parts of it: Drama, friends, enemies, work, and barely any time with your family. But I believe humans are quite capable of getting along if we would just leave each other alone and quit trying to mold everyone into being the same.

 

The states isn't the only reason war is going on lol

Anybody who thinks that they just go bombing countries at random is silly. I admit Bush's last little war in Iraq was pretty dumb, but we still don't know the real deal.

And talk to people who have served in middle east countries. Middled eastern people don't like us that much and if they had the means they would be doing the exact same thing the states does.
